Chernomorets is a cozy little resort hamlet or, officially, a small village in Bulgaria. It is part of the Municipality of Sozopol and Burgas Province. Chernomorets is situated on a picturesque peninsula in the Burgas Bay, between the cities of Sozopol and Burgas. The village sits about 23 kilometers away from Burgas (20 minutes by bus), and about 8 kilometers away from Sozopol (10 minutes by bus). Buses run every half an hour from the Chernomorets bus station.
Officially, the population of the village is about 2200 people. However, according to the locals, its permanent population is only about 1000 people. The main occupation of the Chernomorets residents is working in Burgas or at nearby agricultural enterprises. And in the summer, the life of the village is focused on receiving tourists and vacationers.
The original name of this village was Sveti Nikola.
The general area of Chernomorets is slightly rocky and hilly, but mostly flat. There are several campgrounds near the village: Zolotaya Rybka, Chernomorets, and The Garden. The landscape is incredibly diverse: plains and hills with forests, orchards, fields, and vineyards. Near the Garden campsite, the bay is good for surfing. This place is popular with fans of extreme water sports. The rocky coast in the eastern part of the village is perfect for cliff divers and fishing enthusiasts.

However, if you seek entertainment, you should go on a trip to Sozopol or Burgas.
In general, Chernomorets cannot boast of anything outstanding. But it attracts its tourists by being a typical cozy Bulgarian village on the Black Sea coast.
